There are two potential theories as to what caused the Zombie Apocalypse. The first potential theory is that the Zombies are caused as a result of a virus, which is justified by the information on the dust-jacket on either the Blu-Ray or DVD case. However, the other potential theory is that the Zombies Apocalypse is the result of God or the Devil unleashing Judgment Day. However, the only evidence that supports that theory is the scene where C.J. (Michael Kelly) is watching TV and sees a Televangelist preaching doomsday prophecies.
