The real "Colonel" Tom Parker was born on June 26, 1909, in The Netherlands as Andreas "Dries" van Kuijk. At the age of 19, he entered the USA illegally. After a few months, he enlisted in the army and took the name, Tom Parker. Because of this enlistment in a foreign army, he forfeited his Dutch citizenship, rendering him effectively a stateless person.
