In a deleted scene Rocky attends the funeral of "Spider" Rico, the first person Rocky was seen to fight in the first Rocky (1976). Rico would return in Rocky Balboa (2006), where he reunites with Balboa and is allowed to eat free at Adrian's. Rico volunteered to help wash dishes at the restaurant in return.
