After doing the score for this movie, Hans Zimmer decided to retire from the superhero genre, and quit composing for the DCEU, saying that Ben Affleck "lacked the pain that Christian Bale had". But he later returned to superhero scores for X-Men: Dark Phoenix (2019) and Wonder Woman 1984 (2020).
