The opening battle between Arthur's Britons and the Saxon hoard was filmed at Bourne Wood near Farnham, Surrey, England. This same location has been used for the opening battles of Il gladiatore (2000) and Robin Hood (2010); and television commercials for "Marmite" and "Ikea".
