Catwoman/Selina Kyle was first introduced in Batman #1 (Spring, 1940), created by Bill Finger and Bob Kane. She has been depicted as both a villainess and an antiheroine. Her status as the Batman's most prominent love interest has inspired other romantic relationships between fictional heroes and their villains.
