Warner Bros. considered a future IMAX 3-D re-release as a possibility, having only released the film in IMAX 2-D. This didn't happen, as Warner Bros., was on too tight a budget to release Happy Feet in IMAX digital 3-D. However, the sequel was released in 3-D.
