Julia Roberts, Sharon Stone, and Demi Moore were all rumored to be in the running for the part of Poison Ivy before Uma Thurman was cast. If Sharon Stone was cast, it would have been at least the second time she would co-star and appear with Arnold Schwarzenegger on screen considering they both appeared in Atto di forza (1990).
