15 years later, this film provided inspiration for the episode of TV's Columbo, "Requiem For A Falling Star" in it's second season. Anne Baxter again played a murderous heiress pursued by a detective. A fountain (seen at the beginning of Shadow), the murder of a driver, and a character named Chandler, again play a pivotal role in the TV show.
