The first name of "Mr. Big," played by Chris Noth, is revealed only in the series finale Sex and the City: An American Girl in Paris: Part Deux (2004). Producer Michael Patrick King revealed they waited so long to give him a name because until the end of the show he wasn't ever "real" to Carrie. His whole name is learned in the follow-up movie Sex and the City (2008).
