Shannon Elizabeth stated in interviews that she credits the nudity and the character of Nadia for kickstarting her career in Hollywood and getting her cast in three more movies right after. "If I hadn't done American Pie and I hadn't done the role of Nadia and the nudity that came along with it, I might not have a career today." She added, "I didn't really think about the fact that my character had nudity. I was a struggling actor auditioning for everything I could, so when I got the role I was so excited to get it."
