The reason why this film was decided to be the intermediate between Lilo & Stitch (2002) and Lilo & Stitch: The Series (2003 - 2006), was mainly due to the fact that the plot unfolds in the growth of Stitch and they did not want to include experiments that could distort the main idea which was "Create a background for Stitch and develop him further"
