Strangely, Spelling didn't title each episode; he titled each storyline. So each episode would have 2 or 3 titles depending on the storylines featured. Sometimes these were presented in their original hourlong format; and then sometimes; in syndication; they were presented in half hour formats; just featuring one of the storylines. Also Spelling would swap out and switch around storyline orders, and stick them in different episodes with different alternate storylines, as part of the syndication package also. This gave Spelling more leverage when selling the reruns into syndication for the local markets. If you notice, watching the original episodes in their original format, the storylines almost never intersect; the actors from the storylines never interacting with eachother or even being filmed together. So each episode was essentially two mini-episodes spliced together. This gave Spelling more freedom to edit, manipulate and re-splice them later to his liking.
