When the character of Richard Hillman - eventually one of the show's most notorious villains - was introduced in 2001, he claimed to be the cousin of the late Alma Haliwell. Much press and fan speculation followed that this was a lie, and was attempting to con Audrey Roberts out of Alma's inheritance. When Audrey discovered Richard's true colours over a year later, she speculated that Richard might not really be Alma's cousin. However, the mystery was never solved one way or the other before Richard's death.
