When the UK's Sky One tv channel started re-running the entire series run from the beginning, in 2019, in a monday to friday mid-afternoon double bill slot, the episodes were edited to remove the more gruesome elements. Using, the unavoidable abrupt jump cuts were standard to remove the more graphic bloody shooting shots, but also to remove the more graphic "adult" violent crime scene sequences, such as certain types of victims and their injuries both on location, and in the autopsies. In some episodes this results in some scenes being clearly unavoidably badly edited to bring them in line with the UK's daytime broadcast standard. Obvously, this affects the clearly truncated music score, dialogue and scene pacing, and some shots being "crash" edited together. These same issues are also apparent with certain broadcasters re-running the earlier "CSI" series' in equivalent time slots, as "Hawaii Five O" still works as procedural drama, with the more graphic elements removed. Additionally, so they can run the complete series, albeit with certain light trimming, the more violent, and episodes with content unfit for daytime, such as as the torture in the 100th episode, were shown in a late night slot, scheduled for a night within the same chronological block of around 11-12 episodes, as 2 per daytime in order, bar the occasional skipped episode shown later.
