Recurring gag: characters often remark on Sam's large chin, including giving him chin-based nicknames. He even earned the nickname La Barbilla ("The Chin") in Burn Notice: The Fall of Sam Axe (2011). Sam has at least once acknowledged that that particular facial feature makes him pretty recognizable, but never tries to disguise it and is almost never caught out because of it.Bruce Campbell has written three books about his life as an actor, two of which reference his chin in the title: If Chins Could Kill: Confessions of a B-Movie Actor, and Hail to the Chin.
