The character of Patterson shares 2 similarities with the character of Angela from the tv show Bones. Both characters have celebrity fathers. Patterson's being Bill Nye the science guy and Angela's being Billy Gibbons of the band ZZ Top. Both characters also have mysterious first names. As of season 4 of Blindspot Patterson's first name is still unrevealed and Angela's first name was revealed to be Pookie Noodlin halfway through the series of Bones.
