The main conflict is the brothers' journey to find the Phoenix Gem in order to complete the resurrection spell needed to bring back their father. The closest thing to villains are the Pixie Bikers, the artificial dragon made by the curse that guards the Phoenix Gem, and the sleazy pawn-shop owner Grecklin.
