In 2021, in a series of YouTube videos explaining his experiences during development, Jamie Kennedy revealed that there's an extended version, featuring 38 minutes of footage missing from the heavily edited theatrical release. In comparison, it had significantly constructed and cinematic storytelling without overuse of CGI, quick cuts, and elongated zany humor. However, this version was requested to be sillier and reduced to shorter length.
