The French title for the series is "Arabesque". It is unclear why, as Jessica Fletcher never once donned a tutu and performed ballet, so she was never seen doing the arabesque pose. It quite possibly has to do with the intro music being an "arabesque", however it is still unclear why they would title the show on the instrumental theme song, which doesn't pertain to the show being a crime mystery.
