There never was a Pacific Palisades Board of Education; the Palisades had always been part of L.A. Unified. Palisades High (Pali) had already been open for two years when this was filmed in 1963. University High (Uni) had been the western L.A. area high school until then. Pali High was the school written about in Whatever Happened to the Class of '65.
