It is not known if Paul Hogan had intended for Crocodle Dundee II to be the conclusion of the Crocodile Dundee story. After the film's release, Paul Hogan went on to do Un angelo da quattro soldi (1990), Jack colpo di fulmine (1994), and Flipper (1996). However, Mick Dundee and Sue would finally return in Crocodile Dundee 3 (2001), which took place 13 years later and saw Dundee, Sue, and their 9-year-old son Mikey visit Los Angeles as Sue uncovers a conspiracy at a movie studio. The film received negative reviews and only grossed $39 million worldwide. It was called one of the worst films ever made.
