Danny McBride (Tennessee) said he was pleasantly surprised to be cast against type in a mostly straight role, since he figured that as a comedian, he would be cast as an obnoxious "asshole" who would be killed early in the movie. Even though some crew members (like Oram and Karine) don't seem overly fond of Tennessee's raucous behavior, he turns out to be one of the bravest and most loyal crew members in the end.
