Debuted as a mid-season replacement during the 1989-1990 season - the same season in which The Simpsons debuted. While the series had very different fates - Twin Peaks lasted for only three seasons while The Simpsons has lasted for three decades - both shows have proven highly influential. The Simpsons has in fact paid homage to Twin Peaks at least twice; however, to date, Kimmy Robertson is the only original cast member to provide a guest voice in The Simpsons.
