One of a small number of family or children's films to be released in the late 1990s and early 2000s to be set in a deliberately vague time period that mixes clothes, hair, cars, and technology from disparate parts of the 20th century. I rubacchiotti (1997), Stuart Little - Un topolino in gamba (1999) and Lemony Snicket - Una serie di sfortunati eventi (2004) all feature this design choice as well.
