Elvis comments, at one point during the Club Handy sequence, that he'd like to record Little Richard's "Tutti Frutti" someday. He did, in fact, record a cover of the song in 1956. Still, Little Richard's original version remains the most popular. Little Richard was initially "disgusted" by Elvis' cover. Yet, the cover eventually made the original song more mainstream and brought popularity to Little Richard.
