Betty recognizes the Hulk as Bruce almost immediately in the film, but that's not the case in the illustrated screenplay and novelization. The script notes her seeing something familiar in the Hulk's face; however, Betty pieces things together during the dog fight and only figures it out afterward in the novelization.
