Director Mark Goldblatt purposely kept Dolph Lundgren and Louis Gossett Jr. away from each other until the scene where Jake, Gossett's character, visits The Punisher in jail, to make the scene more authentic and uneasy. However, they did get along in real life, which led to them working on the film "Cover Up" a few years later.
