Jack Taggert's ruse of buying all the honey from the woman in whom he's romantically interested in order to ingratiate himself with her is also utilized in Blake Shelton's famous music-video "Honeybee", where Blake purchases a large quantity of the honey that the "sweeter than honey" country girl is selling, and then finally drives off into the sunset with his "sweet prize" of a dream-lady happily seated beside him in his truck.
