There were only two times in the shows' entire run where after Season 6, that both sets of cast had worked together in a single or multiple episodes. During season 6, Vincent D'Onofrio, Kathryn Erbe, Chris Noth and Annabella Sciorra worked together in a two episode arc "In The Wee Small Hours" and in the very first episodes of Season 9, D'Onofrio, Erbe, Jeff Goldblum and Saffron Burrows worked together for one episode as a passing of the torch to Goldblum and Burrows.
