The Damone/Stacy sex scene included a shot of Damone undressing that included full frontal male nudity. Contrary to popular belief, the shot was not cut from the film to avoid an X rating, it remains in the film but is reframed to crop the nudity out. The 2021 Criterion Collection release of the film restored the original framing/nudity and still carries an R rating.
