The recurring minor character, frog-voiced nerd Ollie Creekly, played uncredited by Romeo Davis from Seasons 2 through 4, may have been created in response to the popularity of the nerdy character, Steve Urkel, on 8 sotto un tetto (1989). Ironically, Urkel's portrayer, Jaleel White, was in the pilot episode of Good Morning, Miss Bliss: Pilot (1987) and auditioned for the series when it was retooled as Bayside School (1989).
