The first series to be made by TBS Superstation, and the early three seasons were produced by DIC Entertainment, originally known as 'Captain Planet and the Planeteers', until later three seasons were produced by Hanna-Barbera, renamed as 'The New Adventures of Captain Planet', and was later aired on Cartoon Network after the Turner soldout in 1991 (and several early seasons were premiered on the main channel for reruns in the mid-late 1990s).
