Although the book was published in 1951, the plot has some similarities to the Frank Herbert novel Dune (1984) which was published in 1965. Prince Caspian (Whose father King Caspian IX was murdered by King Miraz) flees as Miraz seeks to kill him. Prince Caspian learns all the creatures in Narnia live have gone into hiding and when Glenstorm tells Prince Caspian of the prophecy and his destiny to defeat Miraz and rule as Narnia's true king, Prince Caspian leads the creatures of Narnia into revolt against Miraz and Prince Caspian is crowned as the new Narnian king when Miraz is killed in a duel with Peter.
