While some actors may try to distance themselves from a long-term television series role that they feel may typecast them, and potentially hurt their career potential, David Suchet appears to have fully embraced that he may only be known worldwide as Hercule Poirot, not unlike Basil Rathbone as Sherlock Holmes, and has appeared as a host in various Agatha Christie and Hercule Poirot documentaries, and spin-off "brand extensions".
