When looking for references to create CGI models of velociraptors, digital creature model supervisor Geoff Campbell of Industrial Light & Magic used a maquette of a Raptor located between two of Industrial Light & Magic's buildings in San Francisco, and it was used as the starting point of the creation of Blue.
