SpeedKore and Dennis McCarthy included three customized 1968 Dodge Chargers 1968 specially designed for the movie by Sean Smith Design. One of the cars included a specially designed handbrake and was used as the ''hellacious'' vehicle in various stunt sequences requiring rapid braking maneuvers. Another one was equipped with an automatic transmission and used as the "hero car" for close-up shots with Vin Diesel inside the vehicle. A third one was a "normal" stunt car featuring the same Sidewinder automatic gearbox that's been used in nearly all F&F movies since the fourth installment.
