Filming bounced between shooting in New York City and shooting on sound stages in Los Angeles. You can tell which is which by the grime on the streets. Filming also bounced between the actors and actual cameramen on the crew. The scene in the loft was shot on a stage in L.A., and the entire scene was shot by the two actors handling the camera in the film, Mike Vogel and T.J. Miller.
