Near the end of the film, when Marty is attempting to steal the almanac back from Biff, they approach and eventually drive through a tunnel. This is the same tunnel private investigator Eddie Valiant drives through to reach Toontown in Chi ha incastrato Roger Rabbit (1988), which was likewise directed by Robert Zemeckis and starred Christopher Lloyd (Doc Brown).
