The company that produces Itchy and Scratchy is based off of Disney. Their debut cartoon "Steamboat Itchy", seen in I Simpson: Itchy & Scratchy: The Movie (1992), is a violent parody of Steamboat Willie (1928) (the official debut of Mickey Mouse). The company's founder Roger Myers is based on Walt Disney.
