This previous League consists, then, of: The Reverend Dr. Syn (created by Russell Thorndike), pirate and highwayman; Sir Percy Blakeney, the Scarlet Pimpernel (created by Baroness Emmuska Orczy); Natty Bumppo/Hawkeye/Deerslayer/Leatherstocking, hero of "Last of the Mohicans" by James Fenimore Cooper); and Lemuel Gulliver, of "Gulliver's Travels" by Jonathan Swift).
