Taissa Farmiga, who played Sister Irene in this film, is the younger sister of Vera Farmiga in real life, who played Lorraine Warren in L'evocazione - The Conjuring (2013), The Conjuring - Il caso Enfield (2016), and The Conjuring - Per ordine del diavolo (2021). The Demon Nun, played by Bonnie Aarons, also appeared in The Conjuring - Il caso Enfield (2016) and had a brief cameo in Annabelle 2: Creation (2017). Though the sisters' characters are not at all related to each other, they are both devout Catholics with clairvoyant abilities.
