Glastonbury Grove is the name given to a part of the woods in Twin Peaks that has been the focus of local folklore and Native American legend for some time. The Giant tells Agent Cooper, "The owls are not what they seem." Additionally, the location of Owl Cave in the series presents yet another connection to owls. Interestingly, the Bohemian Grove, a private gentleman's club in Monte Rio, California, also features a giant statue of an owl. It has been the focus of conspiracy theories, and is also referred to in Mark Frost's tie-in book for the third season.
