Comic book writer and artist John Byrne, who had worked on the "Days of Future Past" comic, is on record stating he was not approached for a cameo. He says he would have declined, stating he disliked the movies, and he'd feel "like he was in the Carrie - Lo sguardo di Satana (1976) prom scene."
