For the Grammy Awards sequence, the production had to get special permission from the Recording Academy to use a Grammy trophy that the props department had replicated, but only on condition that prop first be approved by the academy. According to Bradley Cooper, the production model was slightly smaller than the original, but it was the one they used in the final cut.
