A real-life lawyer shares the name of the fictional Manhattan district attorney featured in the first ten years of Law & Order, Adam Schiff. The real-world Schiff worked as an assistant prosecutor in the Los Angeles branch of the U.S. Attorney's Office. He eventually became a member of the House of Representatives from California, January, 2001 - present.
