Though the establishing shot of Free City is the downtown triangle region of Pittsburgh, and the movie was largely filmed in Boston (a stand-in for Free City), in later scenes when Taikia Waititi is standing in his office, the background is noticeably the Seattle skyline, albeit from an angle where no such high-rise currently exists.
