When Arnold and his friends visit Wheezin Ed, Sheena's Uncle Earl asks for a payment to take them over to Elk Island by boat. He asks for one dollar each, two dollars for Harold, fifty cents per shovel, and five cents security deposit. If Arnold and his six friends paid for the ride and shovels, it would come out to $8 + $4 + $0.40 = $12.40 for taking them to the island and twelve dollars he made in profit if they were able to give back the security deposit.
