During the song "We Don't Talk About Bruno", Dolores sings: "I can always hear him sort of muttering and mumbling" (and later, "It's like I hear him now. I can hear him now!"). At first, it seems that she is hearing Bruno in her mind, as he predicted her future. However, this is revealed to be foreshadowing when at the end of the movie, the audience learns that she knew he was living within the walls the entire time due to her superior hearing. Also, when Mirabel and Dolores dance, look in the background: Bruno can be seen walking on the second floor and at one point even dancing to the music.
