Locations included the Stockton Street Tunnel, Pacific Heights, the San Francisco Opera House, the Civic Auditorium, and the Golden Gate Park's Conservatory of Flowers, which was also recreated on a Universal Studios soundstage. The production cost was approximately $25 million.
